For the first time in over 40 years, a Chevrolet Camaro (2010 model) will be the pace car for the 51st Daytona 500. The Camaro, an SS model with a six-speed manual transmission and 426-horsepower, 6.2-liter V-8 will feature a light bar with strobe system, an option you won't find on the Chevrolet website or in your local auto dealer.
The timing seems apt, as 40 years ago America had just emerged from war and bad economy, so using this muscle car should help the troubled car manufacturers to bring back the glory of the old days.
